Nails and Paris Notebook

I painted my nails today. I choose :
Barry M Limited Edition Silver Glitter 142
Rimmel Pro Urban Princess 291
I painted four of my nails pink and one glitter. I applied two coats.

I also picked up this lovely Paris notebook in TK Maxx. The notebook features a picture of the Eiffel Tower. I really like the lined cream pages and pattern inside the cover.

Pancake Tuesday

I made some pancakes today!. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

2 eggs
1/2 pint buttermilk
1/2 cup of caster sugar
10 ozs plain flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

optional

chocolate sauce
cream
butter
maple syrup
fresh lemons
any fresh fruit

Weigh and sieve all the dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the eggs and buttermilk. Mix really well. Give it a good beating.

Pour your batter into a jug. Begin pouring amounts of the batter unto a hot griddle.

Bubbles will appear on the surface of the batter. Turn the pancake over.

They should be golden brown. Serve with your choice of accompaniment.

I enjoyed my pancakes. Now I am going to do the dishes and go for my 4 mile walk. Outside it is a lovely crisp February day. Walk off these pancakes ha ha !. Have a good evening.

Mint Aero Slice

Ingredients
114g unsalted butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1 teaspoon cocoa
110g bar mint aero
1 packet marie biscuits
2 tablespoons caster sugar
200g milk chocolate
Method
Melt butter, sugar, syrup and half of aero bar in a saucepan over a gentle heat.

Crush the biscuits and mix all together. Spread into a greased and lined swiss roll tin.

Chop the remaining aero into chunks. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of warm water.

Pour the melted chocolate over the biscuit base and spread evenly. Sprinkle your aero chunks over the chocolate. Leave to set in fridge. I left mine in the fridge overnight. Allow the aero slice to reach room temperature before cutting into slices.

Enjoy!

Magazine Heart Garland

Recycle your old magazines by making this simple heart garland.

You will need -
Heart punch
Old magazines
String
Sellotape

1. Punch hearts out of your magazines using your heart punch. I used a 3 inch heart punch. Make as many hearts as you want depending on how long you want your garland.

3. I used sellotape to fix the hearts unto my piece of string. Remember to stick the reverse side of the heart unto the string.

4. Keep going until all the hearts are in place. Now simply hang in your chosen place.
